For many Indigenous peoples of Brazil, Christmas is not traditionally celebrated as it is in the Western world. There are no decorated trees, no exchange of gifts, no fixed date marked on the calendar.

Instead, life continues in rhythm with the forest — guided by the rains, the moon, the harvest, and the daily acts of community, prayer, and care for the land.

What is shared, however, is something deeper than any holiday:
gratitude for life, respect for the ancestors, and the understanding that every day is sacred when lived in right relationship with the Earth.
