Hapé, also spelled rapé, rapeh, or rapéh, is a traditional sacred Amazonian snuff made from finely sifted medicinal plants and sacred ashes. It has long been used by Indigenous peoples in prayer, grounding, focus, cleansing, and spiritual alignment.

Shop Sacred Hapé Blends

No. Traditional Amazonian Hapé is part of a sacred Indigenous practice and is very different in intention, preparation, and ceremonial use from commercial snuff products.

The right amount changes from person to person, so the only real answer is to start small and let experience teach you. For a first time, a little over a grain of rice per nostril is a good place to begin, and you work your way up gradually as you get used to the medicine. Using more does not make it work better — it only makes it harder to stay present.

That depends on the person, the blend, and the context. Many people choose to use it prayerfully and intentionally rather than casually.

Each blend carries a different spirit and effect. Some are known for being more intense, grounding, cleansing, heart-opening, or penetrating than others. Sensitivity also varies from person to person.

The strong initial wave passes within about 1–3 minutes. A settled, grounded clarity often stays with you for 20–40 minutes afterwards.

Keep it sealed, cool, dry and out of direct sunlight. Stored that way it is at its best within about 6–12 months. Discard it if it smells sour or has taken on moisture — rapéh should stay fine and dry, and dampness is the main thing that spoils it.

Sananga is a traditional eye medicine used by certain Indigenous peoples of the Amazon. It is often used in ceremonial and spiritual contexts.

People use Sananga for clarity, focus, energetic cleansing, and inner alignment within a respectful spiritual or ceremonial setting.

Yes, intensely, and that is expected rather than a sign of a problem. The strong burning usually lasts 1–3 minutes and eases within about five. Eyes water, may redden, and can be sensitive to light for a short while afterwards.

Refrigerated. Sananga is a fresh plant preparation made without preservatives, so it needs to be kept cold. Properly refrigerated it stays good for several months. Discard it if it becomes cloudy, develops sediment that was not there before, or smells fermented.

Remove your lenses before applying Sananga and leave them out until well after the sensation has fully passed.

Do not use Sananga if you have an active eye infection, a recent eye injury, or have had recent eye surgery — postpone until you have fully healed. Anyone with an existing eye condition should speak with a qualified health professional first. For external use only, and keep out of reach of children.

Some people use them within a broader ceremonial practice. The timing and approach depend on the person, the tradition, and the context.

A kuripe is a self-applicator traditionally used to serve Hapé to yourself. It is usually V-shaped and connects the mouth to the nostril.

Many of our applicators are handcrafted and may feature natural materials, artisan details, and unique variations from piece to piece.

After each session, blow through it firmly to clear any residue and wipe the outside with a dry cloth. Do not soak wooden or bone applicators — moisture cracks and warps them. If a tepi is shared between people, wipe both ends with a little high-proof alcohol on a cloth and let it dry completely before the next use. Keep it dry, store it somewhere it will not be crushed, and handle it with care. Handmade tools last a long time when treated well.

We ship to the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia and much of Asia. We are not currently shipping to the Middle East due to the war. We hope this changes, and it may change at any time — if you are in the region and want to know where things stand, please write to us.

Orders are prepared within 1–3 business days. After that, U.S. orders usually arrive within 3–7 business days and international orders within 7–21 business days, depending on customs and local postal services. Wholesale rapéh and anything shipping directly from Brazil takes longer — please allow up to 20 days.

Yes. Tracking is usually provided once your order has shipped.

International shipping can be affected by customs processing, carrier delays, local postal systems, holidays, or weather conditions.

No delivery date can be fully guaranteed, especially for international orders, because postal and customs processes are outside our control.

Sometimes tracking pauses while a package is in transit or at customs. If it has been unusually long, please contact our support team with your order number.

Yes. Queen of the Forest offers a rewards system that allows customers to earn points through qualifying actions and redeem them for benefits.

You usually need to be logged into your account to redeem points. Once logged in, open the rewards section and use the available redemption options shown there.

For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns on opened Hapé, Sananga or other consumable medicines. Unopened items in their original packaging may be returned within 15 days of delivery — please contact us first so we can confirm eligibility and give you the correct return address. Applicators, jewelry, apparel and ceremonial tools may be returned within 15 days if unused and in original condition. If your item arrives damaged or incorrect, email us within 48 hours with photos and we will make it right.
