Origin and Craftsmanship

The Puyanawa are an Indigenous people of the far west of the Brazilian state of Acre. During the rubber boom of the late 19th and early 20th centuries they endured displacement, forced labor and the suppression of their language and traditions. In recent decades the Puyanawa have led a powerful movement to reclaim their cultural identity, and this rapéh is prepared within that living tradition.

Botanical Composition

This blend is made with Amazonian tobacco, the marapuama plant, and tree ashes and forest botanicals. As a small-batch preparation, the precise botanicals are gathered and blended by hand.
