About This Blend
The Samaúma — the Queen of the Forest — is revered across the Amazon as the Mother of all trees, the biggest of them all, giving shade to the rest. Long present in Indigenous ritual and myth, it is known as the “Tree of Life” and the “Ladder of Heaven,” a bridge between Heaven and Earth. For these reasons, Samauma is a blend associated with strong spiritual connection and protection. In the Kuntanawa tradition it is linked to the crown chakra and to a sense of centering and higher connection.
Origin and Craftsmanship
The Kuntanawa call themselves the People of the Palm Fruit, or the People of the Stars. They live in the Alto Juruá Indigenous Reserve on the Tejo River, in Acre, Brazil, in the villages of Kuntamana and 7 Stars. Known for a wonderful variety of shamanic snuffs, they prepare each blend by hand with prayer and intention.
Botanical Composition
This blend is made with Samaúma tree ashes and forest botanicals, in the traditional Kuntanawa manner. As a small-batch product, its exact character reflects the natural materials used by the makers.
