About This Blend

Parica’ carries a strong, grounding character and is traditionally regarded as a blend for deep meditation and prayer. It is prepared and used with respect and clear intention, in keeping with the traditions of the people who craft it.

Origin and Craftsmanship

The Puyanawa are an Indigenous people of the far west of the Brazilian state of Acre. Through the rubber era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries their communities and culture were severely disrupted, and in recent decades they have led a strong movement to reclaim their cultural identity and ancestral traditions. Each blend we offer supports this ongoing work.

Botanical Composition

This blend is made with the parica plant together with tree ashes and forest botanicals, in the traditional Amazonian manner. As a small-batch product, its exact character reflects the natural materials used by the makers.
