Kuntanawa
The Kuntanawa call themselves the People of the Palm Fruit, or the People of the Stars. This ethnic group is from the State of Acre, in the Alto Jurua’ Indigenous Reserve, located on the Tejo River, in the municipality of Marechal Thaumaturgo. They live in the villages Kuntamana and 7 Stars. It’s total population is estimated around 400 Kuntanawa. They have a wonderful variety of Shamanic Snuffs, Rape’s with a great variety of flavors and uses.

The Samauma – The Official Queen of the Forest, is seen as the Mother of all trees and as the Queen of the Forest. She is the biggest of them all and gives shade to the others. The tree is well known spiritually and has always been present in indigenous rituals and myths. They believe that it possess magical powers protecting the other trees and inhabitants of the forest. Some beliefs say Samauma is the abode of the spirits that live in the woods. It is also popularly known as “Tree of Life” and Ladder of Heaven,” making connections between Heaven and Earth. It is gentle, yet clearly felt and experienced. It is like a warm blanket wrapped around my mind and thoughts, encouraging relaxation but not inhibiting activities or conversation.
There’s a noticeable lack of anxious and ruminating thoughts when I use this. It is a very cushiony, warm presence. “Powerful, yet soft” is how I would describe this. A green, loving heart-presence, loving and nonjudgemental.
