In the of Amazon region of Peru, Ecuador and Brazil in the tropical forests, there is the Dragon’s Blood (Croton Lechleri) tree, the healing power of its latex has been well known since ancient times by the native inhabitants. The first written reference on its medicinal uses dates back to the seventeenth century. It was documented by the Spanish naturalist Bernabé Cobo. “Then I saw that the Indians use the latex to seal wounds of the skin.”

Dragon Blood speeds up the healing of cuts and infections, and has been used on fractures. It has anti bacterial and anti inflammatory properties thus serving as a first aid treatment of insect bites, acne, combat herpes simplex, burns and hemorrhoids. It´s healing quality has been shown by the high content of the alkaloid taspin, and as an antiviral by the content of SP-303 which has an antiviral action.

It is an anti- inflammatory and is also used to treat stomach ulcers, chronic gastritis, cirrhosis of the liver and internal injuries. It has been said to repair the gastrointestinal mucosa by its alkalinizing quality. Normally it is taken 3 drops dissolved in water three times a day.
