Just as the ‘games’ they hold nowadays–abbreviated forms of ancient rituals in which the constitution of society emerges from the interaction between participants – the Katukina emphasize through their own history their contracts with other indigenous groups, on the basis of which they reformulate and reconstruct their network of social relations.
